Blooming on a mountain

As I stand on the mountain
Letting the breeze caress my hair gently
The sun-rays touch the rocks and melt
Forming a film of gold and covering them

A small little thing tickles my feet
A small sapling raring to grow
I smile at it as I look down
“Poor little sapling”, I say to myself

The sun shines down and I walk back
Only to be there again, on my mountain
Watching another lovely sunset
Marveling at the beauty as world turns golden yet again

And then, I see that the sapling has unfurled
The little blooming sapling I once saw
Has become a tiny little plant
With small blooming white flowers

Isn’t love a little like that?
Grows right under your skin
And before you know it
Its beauty engulfs you!!!!!
