Life’s Difficult

I do not mean the title of the blog to be a cribbing or a complaint. Instead, it’s a simple fact, stated in as many words. The biggest mistake all of us commit is to somehow assume that life’s “supposed to be” easy and trouble free. Or sometimes,we even begin to feel that life’s easy for the others and not for us.

In reality, however, life IS difficult and we have to learn this fact (and have to remember it till we die). The day you realize this, life will become easy (oops, am I making sense?). The reason is simple. When we expect life to be easy, we are unprepared for its difficulties. And in this unpreparedness, we lose out on the beautiful things life has to offer. On the other hand, if we understand and accept the fact that life is difficult, we are prepared to take the problems HEAD ON. As a result, we are more capable to realize the presence of small pleasantries in our lives!

Many a time, we get bogged down by the hardships that life throws our way. We begin to believe that some moron wants us to stay unhappy and is working overtime to make sure that happiness evades us, at all times. But then, we probbaly ignore the fact that problems are the greatest teachers. If there’d be no problems, we’d never learn anything from this lesson called life.

So, if you intend to have a HAPPIER life, think of problems as tough teachers and not as problems, per se.

And I have come to believe that no problem can stand the onslaught of persistence aimed at its roots. So, take time to solve the problems and enjoy a life that’s supposed to be difficult but is easy still for you know, difficul is a state of mind! 🙂

I wonder, what was going through ur mind exactly, wen u jotted down this one!!..:-) Well I completely agree to the fact tat difficult times are the best lessons of life….but still life’s beautiful I wud say..:-). I mean wen we look around, we see ppl going thru so much pain and stress and still manage to smile and move on….gives immense inspirtion to belittle the problems tat bother us. But I must say it’s a different viewpoint tat u have provided to problems in life. It mite help many ppl to be happy….which is really great..:-)

Assuming life’s difficult and then facing it is a sort of idealism. Pragmatists derive more fun taking life as it comes – neither assuming its easy or difficult. Preparing for all life’s difficulties isn’t practical and a pragmatish would have the last laugh in his approach!

Hey Rajarshi, well yes but seems like there IS a serious dearth of pragmatists then! I know of N number of people always saying that life’s unfair to THEM! Guess this blog was in my mind for a long time but the thoughts crystallized much better when I started reading the book “The Road Less Travelled” gifted by Ananth……….I guess I was jolted back to reality (of life being difficult) by this book and decided to write about it…….
